'Avengers: Doomsday' trailer unveils first look at Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom

And the wait is over. The official trailer of Robert Downey Jr.-starrer 'Avengers: Doomsday' was unveiled on Monday evening.
The trailer shows the Marvel heroes assembling as Doctor Doom prepares to wreak multiverse-crossing war on the heroes. Thor faces off against Doom and also reunites with Chris Evans' Captain America, making his long-awaited return to the MCU after "Avengers: Endgame." Several of Fox's "X-Men" characters also officially cross over into the Avengers' universe, including Professor Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Cyclops and Channing Tatum's Gambit from "Deadpool and Wolverine." After hitting the big screen last year, the Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts are also back to help the Avengers save the multiverse, as per Variety.

'Doomsday' is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 18, followed by 'Avengers: Secret Wars' a year later.
The details for Robert Downey Jr's turn as Doctor Doom haven't been fully explained, but Doom is likely a variant of Iron Man from another universe. He briefly appeared, though his face was hidden, in the post-credits scene of "Fantastic Four: First Steps."

I love how they're bringing in the X-Men characters! Professor Xavier and Magneto in the MCU? Yes please! But I'm a bit skeptical about RDJ playing Doom - he's so iconic as Iron Man. Let's see how they pull this off. Also, no sight of Spider-Man in the trailer? 🤔
As a die-hard Marvel fan from Mumbai, I'm excited but also worried about the runtime. These ensemble films get bloated sometimes. The Russo brothers know their craft though - 'Infinity War' and 'Endgame' were masterpieces. Just hope they give proper screen time to all these characters, especially the newcomers like Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards.
The trailer looks epic! That shot of Thor fighting Doom with the lightning and the multiverse portals - pure cinema! But I'm a little disappointed there's no Black Panther or Shuri in the lineup. After 'Wakanda Forever', I was hoping to see more of that world. Still, Channing Tatum as Gambit is hilarious casting and I'm here for it! 🙌
Bro, I've been following Marvel since the 90s comics and this Doom variant idea is actually brilliant. RDJ as a twisted version of Tony Stark who becomes a villain? That's proper drama! But one thing - why is the trailer music so similar to 'Infinity War'? They could have gone for something fresh. Either way, booking my IMAX tickets on Day 1! 🎬
