It's good to see a state government taking the drug problem seriously. As someone who worked in addiction counseling in the UK, I know how hard this battle is. The numbers are impressive but I'd love to see data on conviction rates and what happens after arrest. Still, a step in the right direction 👏
Great work by Assam Police! But let's be real - the drug lords are getting smarter. We need better surveillance at borders and more coordination with neighboring states like Nagaland and Manipur. The Rs 3,253 crore figure shows how deep this problem runs. Kudos to CM Sarma for not shying away from this fight 💪
I'm from a small town in Assam and I've seen what drugs did to my cousin's life. He got addicted to heroin in college, dropped out, and it took us years to get him clean. I'm grateful for this crackdown, but we also need more de-addiction centers and awareness programs in rural areas. Prevention is better than cure ⚕️
Impressive stats from Assam. 26,500 arrests in 4 years is no small feat. As a Canadian living in India, I've seen how drug abuse affects communities across the country. The central government's support is crucial. But I wonder - are these small-time dealers or actual kingpins? Need more transparency on that.
Respect to CM Sarma for his relentless efforts! My brother is in the Assam Police and he tells me how dangerous these drug operations are. They risk their lives daily. But I wish the government would also focus on
