This is so sad. 5 lives lost just like that. 😢 My deepest condolences to the families. It's also a wake-up call about the aging AN-32 fleet—the IAF has been talking about replacing them for years. Let's hope the MTA programme gets fast-tracked now. Our jawans deserve the best equipment.

Om Shanti. 🙏 These young men made the ultimate sacrifice. I particularly feel for the families of the two Agniveers—they were just beginning their service. The AN-32 has been a workhorse but it's time for modernization. Also, we must appreciate the IAF's transparency in immediately ordering a court of inquiry.

Tragic loss for the nation. 🇮🇳 But we must also ask: how many more mishaps will happen before we retire these old Soviet-era planes? The AN-32 has been in service since the 1980s. Our brave airmen deserve modern, safe aircraft. The MTA programme should have been prioritized years ago. Respectful criticism—let's honor the fallen by fixing the system.

Heart goes out to the families of these brave souls. They were the pride of our nation. 🙏 The Jorhat airbase handles a lot of traffic—let's hope the inquiry also looks at operational procedures besides aircraft condition. We owe it to their memory to make sure this doesn't happen again.
