Heartwarming to read about the parents being present. It connects the celebration directly to the sacrifice. These events are so important for keeping our heroes' memories alive. Kudos to the Spear Corps and the organisers.
Lekang Sports Club winning on penalties! What a nail-biting finish. Football is truly unifying. More such tournaments should be held across the Northeast to tap into the incredible sporting talent there.
While the event sounds wonderful, I hope the article's focus on "patriotic fervour" doesn't overshadow the pure joy of the sport and community celebration. The football and culture should be the stars, not just the symbolism.
The Torch Run for Capt Gogoi is a powerful symbol. It's great to see the army engaging with communities like this beyond just security duties. Builds real bonds. Assam has given so many brave soldiers to the nation.
This is the kind of positive news we need! Youth empowerment, remembering heroes, and celebrating local culture—all in one event. Wish I could have seen the army displays. More power to such initiatives! 👏
