As an Assamese, I'm proud that Guwahati is hosting such an important diplomatic visit. Japan is a key partner for India's Northeast development - infrastructure, connectivity, bamboo processing. Let's hope this leads to real investment and jobs for our youth. 🌏🤝
All this fanfare for a foreign dignitary while our own people suffer without basic amenities. The Brahmaputra riverbank beautification sounds nice, but what about flood management? Priorities seem skewed. Just saying.
Japan is investing heavily in Northeast India through the Act East policy. PM Takaichi's visit could be a game-changer for Assam's bamboo industry and railway connectivity. But let's not just do photo-ops - we need actual MoUs signed and projects executed on ground. 🤞
I saw similar preparation when the US ambassador visited last year. Hope Assam's hospitality matches Japanese standards. The Maa Kamakhya Temple visit is a nice touch - cultural diplomacy matters. 🇮🇳🇯🇵
Cruise ride on the Brahmaputra for a Japanese PM - now that's something! Our river tourism has huge potential. Also nice to see women ministers like Ajanta Neog and Nilima Devi given charge of important venues. Progress. ✨
