Excellent performance by all teams. But we need to start looking at long-term development programs for our sprinters. China and Japan have been dominating Asian athletics for years, and our relay teams are finally catching up. Good to see the records falling, but consistency in major meets is what will truly make us a powerhouse.
Women's 4x400m gold with a competition record—absolutely brilliant! And 45.05 seconds in the 4x100m is fantastic for a junior team. So glad to see Indian women leading the charge in athletics. More power to them! 👏👏👏
The future of Indian athletics looks promising. Relays require excellent coordination and baton exchange technique. 3:05.54 in men's 4x400m junior is impressive. Hopefully India can improve their grassroots scouting to find more talents like these from smaller towns and cities.
Kudos to the relay teams! Three medals including a gold with a new competition record—that's world-class performance. But I'd like to see more emphasis on individual events too. We have great relay potential, but depth in individual sprints and middle distances would elevate our overall athletics profile.
Great to see these young athletes making India proud! As a former athlete myself, I know how much hard work goes into this. The junior national records are a clear sign of improvement. I hope the government and private sponsors invest more in these promising athletes so they can compete better at the World U20 Championships.
