India's Vishvanath Suresh and Sachin registered impressive wins on Day 3 of the Asian Boxing Championships 2026 here in Ulaanbaatar on Wednesday.
In the men's 50kg category, Vishvanath Suresh produced a dominant display to claim a 5-0 unanimous decision win over Bekzat Ergeshov (Kyrgyzstan), showcasing sharp technique and ring control throughout the contest, according to a press release.
He will next face Kazakhstan's Sanzhar Tashkenbay, a formidable opponent who comes in as the reigning World Champion (2025) and a World Cup winner (2025), setting up a highly anticipated clash.
In the men's 60kg category, Sachin registered a confident 4-1 split decision victory over Mongolia's Buyandalai Bayarkhuu, maintaining composure in a competitive bout to advance further in the tournament.
Sachin will next take on Chinese Taipei's Cheng-Wei Lee in his upcoming bout.
