Music legend Asha Bhosle has been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after suffering from extreme exhaustion and a chest infection, the singer's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, confirmed.

Confirming Asha Bhosle's hospitalisation on social media, Zanai shared that the singer is currently undergoing treatment.

"My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively," she wrote.

Asha Bhosle was admitted to the Mumbai hospital on Saturday evening. As soon as the news came out, fans rushed to share their concerns for her and prayed for the singer's quick recovery.

Further details on her health condition are yet to be disclosed.
