Actor Arshad Warsi has recalled how he accidentally went live on social media without even realizing it.

Speaking exclusively to IANS, he said that he is not good with technology at all. Warsi also recalled how, once, he accidentally went live while his phone was in his pocket. When asked about being "technologically challenged," the 'Munna Bhai MBBS' actor admitted that he is not very comfortable with technology and often struggles to keep up with it.

The actor was further asked what real-life challenges he has faced with technology and whether he still finds it difficult to understand and keep up with modern tech.

Reflecting on his struggles with technology, Arshad Warsi said, "Yes, I am fully challenged. I am not good with technology at all. I am not at all good with it. I am not even good at handling my Instagram. Once, by mistake, I was live. I didn't even know the phone was in my pocket, and I was live. I was walking around London; they could hear my conversation. My daughter was calling me. My manager was calling me. They were saying, "Get off, you are live." I didn't even know what they were talking about. I said, "What live?" I am really bad at it. I ask my kids how to do this, how to do that."

The 'Hulchul' actor added, "I will be honest. I do not want to get so good at it that I am on it all the time. I would like to switch to a button keypad phone and not a smartphone. I would like to do that. In one of my interviews, I said it should become mandatory that one day a week there should be no internet. Absolutely no internet. People should just have nothing like that and chat with each other and do normal things."

Arshad also mentioned that he feels the UAE and Gulf countries have done a good thing by restricting social media use for younger users.

Work-wise, the actor is gearing up for the release of his show "Pritam and Pedro." Created, co-written, edited, and produced by Rajkumar Hirani, the series is directed by Avinash Arun. The web series also stars Vir Hirani, Vikrant Massey, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. "Pritam and Pedro" is scheduled to premiere on July 3, 2026.

Arshad Warsi saying he wants a keypad phone is so relatable for our parents' generation. My father still uses a Nokia 3310 and he's happier than me with my iPhone. But sir, you're an actor in 2026 - you need to be on social media for promotions! 😅

While I love his honesty, I have to respectfully disagree with his point about UAE and Gulf countries restricting social media for young users. Here in India, we've seen how social media can be a double-edged sword for kids. Yes, there are risks, but outright restriction isn't the answer - digital literacy and parental guidance matter more. A balanced approach like our own IT rules would be better than blanket bans.

"I was walking around London, they could hear my conversation" - this is peak comedy material for a future Munna Bhai sequel! 🤣 But honestly, it's refreshing to see a celebrity admit they struggle with something as basic as Instagram. Most of them pretend to be perfect at everything. Arshad Warsi is a gem!

Amazing how someone from the film industry - where everything depends on staying relevant - openly says he doesn't want to be too good at technology! That takes guts. His suggestion about one day without internet is actually what our ancestors did every day. Maybe we should give it a try in India too?

Ee sala cup namde! No wait, wrong topic. 😂 But seriously, Arshad Warsi's admission is so endearing. My 8-year-old nephew knows more about Instagram than I do
