Apple releases sixth public Betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and tvOS 27

Washington, September 1

Apple has released the sixth public beta of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, bringing the company's latest software updates closer to their final release.

As per MacRumours, the new public beta builds are available to anyone with a compatible device who wants to test the upcoming software.

The releases arrive a week after Apple seeded the fifth public betas and a few hours after the eighth developer betas.

Users can begin testing the software by signing up through Apple's beta website and opting into the public beta programme.

On a compatible device, the beta can then be accessed through the Settings app by going to General and selecting Software Update.

The latest developer betas did not introduce any notable new features, indicating that Apple is nearing the end of its beta testing process for the upcoming software releases.

Apple is expected to move to release candidate versions next week, following its September 9 iPhone event.

The release candidate builds typically represent the final stage of testing before a wider software rollout.

The sixth public betas therefore mark another step towards the final versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, tvOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, with public testing now approaching its concluding phase.
