I always support good cinema, says actress Hrishitaa Bhatt
New Delhi, February 27
Actor Hrishitaa Bhatt calls herself a true lover of cinema who supports good content.
In a conversation with ANI, she emphasised that strong content inevitably finds its audience, noting that viewers thronged theatres when Dhurandhar hit the screens, reaffirming her belief that good cinema always resonates.
"When cinema does well, I think it is a damn good thing. Because what happens is that many producers benefit from it and then they have the courage to make good films. And I am a lover of cinema. I always support it a lot...if cinema is good, then actors like us get a lot of happiness," she said.
"More than calling it a revival of cinema because of Dhurandhar's success, I would say it shows that people are once again excited to go to theatres. They want to watch good films and enjoy the same big-screen experience as before," she added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrishitaa, who debuted with the epic historical drama film 'Asoka', starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is currently busy hosting 'Rangoli' on DD National. She also has an OTT film in her kitty.

Respectfully, I have to disagree a bit. While good content is king, the economics are brutal. A mid-budget film with great content often struggles against a mediocre masala film with a big star. Producers need courage, but audiences also need to show up consistently for smaller films, not just when there's hype.
It's heartening to hear this perspective. The OTT boom was great, but nothing replaces the collective experience of a cinema hall. Good to see actors advocating for the medium itself. Also, loved her in Asoka all those years ago!
Absolutely correct ji! Content is everything. Look at Kantara, look at 12th Fail... no mega stars, but blockbusters because of story. Hope more actresses like her speak up. Also, hosting Rangoli on DD is such a nostalgic and respectable gig. Wishing her success!
True that! But "good cinema" is also subjective no? Sometimes pure entertainment is what people need. Balance is key. Glad she's optimistic. The industry needs positive voices. Excited for her OTT film!
