There's great news for the fans of the 'Reacher' series.

Prime Video's show has been renewed for the fifth season ahead of its fourth season premiere.

The streaming giant announced the renewal a few hours before its upfront presentation Monday evening, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Alan Ritchson will be seen reprising his role of Jack Reacher in season five. However, Prime Video has not disclosed much about the new season, including which of Lee Child's Reacher novels will be the source material. Nick Santora remains as the showrunner.

"From Lee Child's globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise," said Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios. "The series' ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We're excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of season four's debut and to build on this incredible momentum. We're grateful to our outstanding creative partners, cast, and crew -- Nick, Alan, Lee and Paramount Television Studios -- for continuing to bring this world to life in such a bold and compelling way."

Season four of Reacher is based on Gone Tomorrow, the 13th book in Child's series about the freelance problem-solver.

Honestly, I didn't expect a fifth season renewal before season 4 even aired. But I'm not complaining! Reacher is one of those rare shows that just gets better. The action sequences are brutal but realistic. Hope they explore more of Reacher's past in future seasons.

As someone who's read all the Reacher books, I appreciate how faithful the adaptation is. Lee Child's writing style translates perfectly to screen. My only concern is that the show doesn't drag out the story unnecessarily - they should stick to one book per season. Season 4 being Gone Tomorrow is a great choice though. 👏

Reacher is one of the few action series that doesn't feel like a chore to watch. Alan Ritchson brings such physicality to the role - you actually believe he could take on five guys at once. Prime Video is smart to lock this down for season 5. Now if only they could improve the sound mixing for the fight scenes...

Great news for action fans in India too! Reacher is so popular here in Mumbai, everyone's always quoting his one-liners. My father, who never watches OTT, binged all three seasons. The show has that old-school action movie vibe that appeals to everyone. Season 4 can't come soon enough! 🔥

I love Reacher but I wish they'd give the female characters more depth. Roscoe and Neagley are cool, but they deserve better storylines. Still, Alan Ritchson is phenomenal - he's got that quiet intensity that makes you root for him. Hope season 5 brings something fresh for the supporting cast.
