Actor Akshay Oberoi has opened up about his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film "King."

In an exclusive quote shared with IANS, he described it as truly surreal. Oberoi expressed admiration and excitement by calling the opportunity a memorable milestone in his career. Besides King, the actor also has an upcoming thriller alongside Manoj Bajpayee in his kitty.

Speaking about this phase, Akshay Oberoi shared, "I genuinely feel like it's crazy to think that I am working with Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj, the same year. They both are so diversely different in their craft and they. are the true masters of it, of what they do. What excites me the most is the sheer diversity of the worlds I'm entering."

The 'Fighter' actor added, "First there's King, which one larger than life story, a magnum opus action. Then there's the thriller film with Manoj Bajpayee sir, which is set in a gritty, crime-driven universe. Sharing screen space with someone of his calibre is both intimidating and inspiring."

Akshay went on to mention, "At the same time, being a part of King, one of the most anticipated projects in the country right now, feels incredibly surreal. On top of all this, making my South debut is a huge moment for me personally because South cinema is telling some of the most exciting stories in India today. I feel fortunate that filmmakers are trusting me with such varied characters, and I'm approaching every single project with gratitude, hunger and the desire to constantly evolve."

"King, co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand, is produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Rani Mukerji.

Akshay Oberoi was last seen in the psychological thriller "Resident" and the romantic comedy "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari."

I've been following Akshay since his debut in "Fitoor" – he has so much potential! It's great to see him getting these chances. But I do hope the film "King" doesn't just rely on star power and actually has a solid story. Special effects aren't everything. Just saying!

Hope the story doesn't get lost in that massive ensemble cast. Also, his South debut – that's exciting! More power to him. 🙌

Happy for him, but it's crazy how Bollywood still worships the same old stars. SRK is amazing, sure, but why does every big film need a dozen A-listers? Would be better if they gave more screen time to talented actors like Akshay rather than just using them as padding. Anyway, I hope he gets his due!
