Akhil Sachdeva lauds Jagjit Singh for his absolute control over the audience while performing

The composer spoke with IANS after the film's release in the BKC area of Mumbai after the film's release.

He told IANS, "I have realized one thing as you said there is no language for music. The charm of music and the people who have seen me perform on stage they are connected to my aura and my charm on stage which is very rare in artists. I think not everyone has that blessing, I have seen it in Jagjit Singh. If he would close his fist, the whole hall would be silent. If he would open his fist the whole hall would clap".

"So, I think that is such a blessing, it's a sign. I was a stage artist before becoming a playback singer and whether people believe it or not I have been working for 15 years and I feel I have inspired a generation at least. And if you inspire someone and if you touch someone's emotions through music you become someone's home it's a big deal", he added.

Meanwhile, 'Awarapan 2' is a sequel to 'Awarapan', and sees Emraan Hashmi reprising his role of Shivam Pandit. While 'Awarapan' was dubbed a flop upon its release, the film gained a significant loyal following in later years, eventually attaining the cult-status owing to its music, and Emraan Hashmi's performance. 'Awarapan 2' is currently playing in cinemas.
