They achieved this for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Abhishek hit a brutal 22-ball 56, while Kishan and Klaasen added a 113-run stand. Hyderabad, May 22

Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan became only the second batting trio to register 500-plus runs in a single Indian Premier League season from a single team.

Abhishek, Klaasen and Kishan achieved this record for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

In the match, Abhishek started off with a brutal 22-ball 56, with four boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 254.55. Later, Kishan (79 in 46 balls, with eight fours and three sixes) and Klaasen (51 in 24 balls, with two sixes) put on a 113-run stand, taking SRH to 255/4 in 20 overs.

Klaasen is SRH's top run-getter and overall third, with 606 runs in 14 matches and innings at an average of 50.50 and a strike rate of 159.47, with six fifties. His best score is 69.

Ishan is at number five, with 569 runs in 14 innings at an average of 40.64 and a strike rate of over 178, with six fifties. His best score is 91.

At sixth is Abhishe, with 563 runs in 14 innings and matches at an average of 43.30 with a strike rate of 206.22, with a century and four fifties, with the best score of 135*.

They are the second trio from a single team after skipper Shubman Gill (650 runs in 15 matches, with six fifties), Sai Sudharsan (759 runs in 15 matches with a century and six fifties) and Jos Buttler (538 runs in 14 matches and 13 innings with five fifties) did it for Gujarat Titans (GT) back in 2025.

This record shows how much the game has evolved. Three batsmen from same team scoring 500+ runs each – incredible! Though I wish they'd focus a bit more on bowling too, not just batting. Balance matters in T20s.

GT's trio from 2025 still holds a special place. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler – that was a class act. But SRH's current trio is giving them a run for their money. Abhishek's strike rate is jaw-dropping! 🚀

As an Australian fan, I'm thrilled to see Klaasen doing so well. He's been consistent for SRH. But Ishan Kishan's comeback after some tough times is the real story here. Resilience personified.

Honestly, IPL batting records are becoming meaningless when pitches are flat and boundaries are small. Would love to see these batsmen tested on challenging wickets. But credit where it's due – 500+ runs each is no joke. 👏

The way Abhishek Sharma started against RCB – 56 off 22 balls! That's the kind of intent that wins you matches. SRH fans must be over the moon. What a season for Hyderabad!
