The opening fixture was washed out, but England have dominated the two completed matches, capping their resurgence with a crushing 125-run victory at Trent Bridge, India's heaviest defeat in T20 Internationals.
With the batting unit struggling to cope with England's pace and bounce, the focus has shifted to whether India's think tank will make changes to arrest the slide. The biggest talking point surrounds Sanju Samson, who has been on the sidelines after making way for teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. India now face the challenge of deciding whether to restore the experienced batter without unsettling the balance of the top order.

For India captain Shreyas Iyer, Thursday's contest presents an opportunity to register his first victory since taking charge and inject momentum ahead of the series finale. Honestly, I think the selection committee needs to take a hard look at itself. Why are we persisting with the same struggling middle order? Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube haven't contributed much, and our spinners are getting smashed. Varun Chakravarthy was supposed to be our mystery spinner but he looks clueless against England's aggressive batting. 🙄
Mark my words, if India lose tonight at Bristol, the post-match analysis will be all about 'process' and 'learning opportunities.' But the reality is simple - we are not reading the conditions properly. England bowlers are hitting the deck hard and getting movement, while our batters are playing across the line. Need to show some application and character now! 💪

I'm from Mumbai and I've seen enough cricket to know this - you can't win T20s by just relying on individual brilliance. Our team selection has been puzzling. Why is Washington Sundar not playing? He gives you batting depth and control with the ball. And Prasidh Krishna has been expensive in every game. Time for some bold changes: bring in Samson for Vaibhav and Sundar for Prasidh.
