Weather Today in India: 14 March 2013

Pune, Mar 14 : Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

They were above normal in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat Region, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka, and in remaining parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

The highest maximum temperature of 41.0 degree Celsius has been recorded at Bhira in Konkan and Goa in the plains of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Saurashtra, Kutch and Vidarbha. They were below normal in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana.

They were were above normal in some parts of Odisha, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Madhya Maharashtra, and in remaining parts of West Bengal, Sikkim and west Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

The lowest minimum temperature of 10.6 deg. C has been recorded at Ballia (east Uttar Pradesh) in the plains of the country.

Rain or thundershowers may occur a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. They are likely to occur and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Marathwada and Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They had also occurred at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura,Marathwada, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather had prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Following observations for the past 24 hrs were recorded at 0830 hrs ended today morning.
