Move over Kingfisher and Gladrags – DesiClub swimsuit calendar is here to rock

With its 3rd annual edition unleashed, the 2009 Desiclub.com Swimsuit Calendar unveils a bolder and sexier look.

With models hailing from the East and West coasts of the United States adding their unique flavor and look to the calendar's 12 months and its special centerfold feature, the latest edition possesses a stunning look. The special centerfold showcases models Nirali Thumar and Ambika Ragbir while the honor of this year's front cover girl belongs to model Tania Mehra, a Philadelphia native who now resides in Los Angeles. Tania was selected as she embodies the best of South Asian-Indian sex appeal with the classic Western look.

The models for 2009 also include Aparna Dasgupta, Kristie Banerjee, Ridhi Patel, Rashi Stephens, Stella Simona with Bansari Shah and Rakhee Gandhi who were also featured in the 2008 calendar.

"For 2009, we decided to establish a more powerful look with our images and so we collaborated with European photographer Jose Carlos Alva. His work is distinguished and you can easily notice the impactful presence of the girls through his lens. As always, we did not cut any corners to deliver the best imagery. I am most proud of this year's calendar as it really turned a corner in terms of style - all thanks to Jose Carlos' work and creativity," said Saroosh Gull, publisher and CEO of Desiclub.com.

"This year, we've made the calendar even more multimedia friendly as not only can you read blogs written by the models about their experience, but you can view their videos, post widgets on Facebook's FunWall and Google's Orkut scrapbook and you can even download the wallpapers of each model to your mobile phone," the publisher went on to say. "You can even see a behind the scenes glimpse of the tons of pictures that didn't make the final cut. We're proud of the overall outcome this year, it is very satisfying to have been able to combine art, class, style and sexiness."

The Calendar is available for purchase on Desiclub.com as well as Amazon.com, a new undertaking by the publisher.
