Rajkot, Dec 2 : The Congress MLA from Jasdan, Kuverji Bavalia, has been arrested from the circuit house here in connection for possessing government land on forged documents.
The CID sleuths arrested Bavalia yesterdau and sent him to Gondal Jail, police sources said.
The MLA was also facing charges of acquiring land for an education trust at Amrapar village by producing fake documents, the sources said.
In 2005, Savita Vasani, then Sarpanch of Amrapur village of Jasdan taluka had registered a complaint at Vinchhya police station against Bavalia that he had faked her signature to purchase the government land.
