Itanagar, Dec 2 : Spiritual guru and founder of Art of Living (AoL) Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, while sending a strong message to those bent on dividing the world, has called for fighting the divisive forces by coming together and neutralising the cause of 'dark forces' to unite the world.
The guru, who arrived here yesterday on a seven-day visit to the state, while addressing scores of devotees and followers, after inaugurating the Donyi Polo Gangging and AoL at Naharlagun, said terror should not be patronised at any cost.
''Keep terror at bay by combating it with strong hands. Do not allow the subversive elements to overpower you. Make it a point to score over them with integrated efforts, before they disrupt the life of people,'' he added.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also sent a 'note of caution' to the forces intent on disintegrating the society and alluring people to break away from the mainstream.
He called upon the 'men at the helm of affairs' to frequent the interior and remote places, and organise the people by infusing among them a sense of indigenous faith and culture.
''Make frequent visits to remote and far-flung areas and tell the rural populace to get organised. Come under one roof by deviating from the forces that separate people,'' the guru exhorted.
The guru, on Sunday, attended the three-day Indigenous Youth Festival at Pasighat in East Siang district and is visiting Tawang today.
He will conduct a holistic workshop designed to help masses learn the secret of healthy, happy and meaningful living in Itanagar from December 4.
