Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 1: Kerala Civil Supplies Minister C Divakaran told the state Assembly today that the government was considering to open Supplyco supermarkets on franchisee basis in the Gulf countries.
In a written reply to M K Purushothaman(CPI-M), he said the government was contemplating to conduct a feasibility study in this regard.
Though many people had approached the Civil Supplies Corporation, none of them had come forward for taking up franchise.
The government was planning to markets the products of Sabari products and other items that were interested by the Malayalees, he added.
