London, Oct 11: Singer Beyonce Knowles, who married rapper Jay-Z earlier this year, has revealed that she refused to wear an engagement ring, dismissing it as just material.
Mirror.co.uk quoted Beyonce as saying: "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me."
However, she has been spotted wearing a $5 million, 18-carat diamond ring.
The couple for a long time denied that they were ever romantically involved. Even after announcing their marriage, they continued to keep a tight lid on their personal lives.
