Gilchrist to play for All-Stars against Australia XI

Sydney, Oct 6: Adam Gilchrist will return to play cricket against Australia. The batsman will feature in a team of returning greats against a full-strength Australian XI in a Twenty20 All-Star clash at Brisbane next month.

Gilchrist will headline the Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) All-Stars against the Australian XI at the Gabba on Nov 14.

But Cricket Australia (CA) is tight-lipped on the rest of the line-up, saying the names would be revealed in the coming weeks. However, it's expected recently retired duo Glenn McGrath and Darren Lehmann, who is ACA president, will be in the team.

Gilchrist will return to the ground where he officially played his last game for Australia - a one-day finals loss to India in March.
