18 is just another year – Narayani Shastri
Q.Where did you grow up? A.Basically I grew up at Colaba, South Bombay, but since then I have changed seven places in the same city.
Q.Were you a good student?
A.Yes, I was a good student. All my teachers and parents and even my friends were really happy with my studies.
Q.What was the worst popular trend when you were in college?A.I don't know as I was too busy with my sports, fun and other things. I did not follow trends much. There must be something important to others but for me there was no trend at all.
Q.What was your goal of life?
A.To be a housewife (laughs). Believe me or not, that was exactly the ambition that I used to dream about.
Q.What is the craziest thing you ever did to let a guy notice you?
A.Nothing. I really didn't do anything to attract people instead they get attracted towards me by their own (laughs).
Q.What was your fashion mantra when you were 18? What is it like now?
A.I was not into fashion at all then and neither now. I wear whatever I feel comfortable in.
Q.What were your hobbies back then and how they are changed now?
A.It was playing, playing and playing only. Reading and dancing were also of my interest. Even with changed time my hobby has not changed a lot.
Q.Have you ever faced any rumour at that stage of your life? Do you face any of them now?
A.Nothing. I never faced any rumour, because I used to keep myself away from other people's way. I was very busy doing my things and nobody was really interested in my private life, too. Well, now I am just facing lots of rumours because every second day I am seeing a different guy (laughs).
Q.Did you have any nickname? Have you any new names added to that list?
A.Cock fighter. That was my famouse nickname and it’s because I used to fight a lot. Now I don't have nicknames but some of my close friends call me gaumata.
Q.Who were your best friends? Are they still friends with you?
A.I never had best friends.
Q.What did you do for fun?
A.I was always into playing several games, singing, reading, dancing and nothing else. All of those things were the only source of my fun and pleasure.
Q.What was your favourite hangout?
A.The playground. I was not into the regular girl stuff at all. No boyfriends, no films nothing, we just used to play.
Q.Was Valentines Day important to you? What was your idea of dating back then?
A.No. Valentines Day was not important for me and it still is not. I didn't know what dating is. I was more into my studies, games and my family.
Q.What advice did your parents give you when you were 18?
A.They never advised me on anything. They let me experience life my way only.
Q.Was there anything to let you worry about?
A.Nothing, I was never worried about anything. Still, I don’t bother about anything.
Q.Who was your sweetheart in college and whom do you dream about now?
A.None. I never spent time on such matters and even now I don’t invest my time for such things.
Q.With which celebrity did you want to go to an isolated island? What was your naughtiest fantasy with him?
A.Again, there is none, because I was not into watching films or anything like that, so I as not really a fan of any star. Even now I like people just on the screen and don't want to be personally engaged with them.
Q.Does 'BEING 18' hold any significance to you?
A.No, it doesn't. It is jut another year adding to your life.
