New Delhi, Sep 4 : Three people were injured in the national capital when motorbike-borne assailants in separate incidents pumped bullets into their bodies, the police said Thursday.
Two unidentified motorcycle borne assailants shot at property dealer Harish, 32, who was returning to his Punjabi Bagh home with his friend Manoj late Wednesday in Paschim Vihar area of west Delhi.
Harish was admitted to the nearby Balaji Hospital, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
"The victim said it happened so fast that he and his friend could not note down the number of the motorcycle which the assailants were riding," said a police officer.
“We have registered a case and search is on to nab the assailants. Our initial investigation suggests that it could be fallout of personal or business rivalry,” the officer added.
In Adarsh Nagar of northwest Delhi, three motorcycle-borne assailants shot at a collection agent of Syndicate Bank and robbed him of Rs.125,000.
Subhash was returning to the bank after collecting money from clients when he was shot in chest around Tuesday evening. He was admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
A father-son duo was shot at by three motorcycle borne assailants in Anand Vihar area of east Delhi late Tuesday.
Anand Swaroop Aggarwal, 68, his son Vijay Aggarwal, 30, were returning home on a scooter when they were shot at near CBD ground in Anand Vihar after they resisted a snatching attempt.
Anand suffered bullet injury in the thigh and was taken to the Pushpanjali Hospital where his condition is said to be stated stable.
The police said a case has been registered and search was on to nab the assailants.
