Gongura Pickle Recipe


• 1 Bunch Gongura Leaves

• 1 Tsp Coriander Seeds

• 1 Tsp Fenugreek Seeds

• 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds

• 8 Red Chilies

• 2 Garlic Flakes

• 6 Tsp Oil

• Little Lump Tamarind

• Salt for Taste

• 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds

• Single Pinch of Asafoetida


• Fry coriander, fenugreek, cumin seeds, red chilies, green chilies and garlic flakes in 2 tsp of heated oil.

• Fry gongura leaves separately in another 2tsp of heated oil.

• Add some salt for taste and grind all the Ingredients: along with gongura leaves.

• Season mustard seeds in the remaining oil and add asafetida.

• Pour this oil with mustard seeds on the gongura mixture and stir well.

• Place the pickle in an air tight container and use it for a long time.
