Kalan Recipe


1. Raw banana   2

2. Coconut    ¼ cup
Green chilly   3
Pepper powder  ¼ teaspoon
Turmeric powder  ½ teaspoon
Cumin powder  ¼ teaspoon

3. Coconut oil   1 tablespoon
Mustard seed  1 teaspoon
Curry leaves   1 stem

4. Curd   1 cup

5. Salt     As required

Peel the skin of the banana and cut into small pieces.

Boil this in a pressure cooker with salt.

Grind ingredients 2 finely and mix with the boiled banana.

Bring this to boil.

Add curd and bring to boil stirring continuously. 

Sputter the mustard seeds in oil, add curry leaves and pour this to the above.
