Recipes India - Venn Pongal Recipe

Venn Pongal Recipe

Ingredients:
• 2 Cups Rice
• ½ Cup Moong Dal
• 4 Green Chillies
• A Small Pinch Asafetida
• Curry Leaves
• Cashews
• 1 Tsp Pepper
• 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
• A Small Piece Ginger, Finely Chopped
• 4 Tsp Ghee
• Salt To Taste

Method:
• Fry moong dal without oil.
• Cook rice, moong dal and haldi powder with adequate water.
• Sauté pepper, cumin seeds, asafetida, chilies, curry leaves, and ginger in heated ghee, and add this to the pongal.
• Fry cashews in ghee separately and add.
Add salt to taste mix well.
