India beat West Indies by six wickets
St. Lucia (Gros Islet), July 4 : A responsible knock of 46 from 34 balls by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni helped India to defeat West Indies by six wickets under Dockworth-Lewis method in the rain-affected third One-day international here Friday.
Bating first West Indies made 185 for seven in 27 overs in the truncated match, but the target for India was adjusted to 195 as pet the DL method.
India capitalised on a good start by openers Dinesh Karthik (47) and Gautam Gambhir (44) and Man of the Match Dhoni played a composed innings off 34 balls as the visitors achieved the rain revised target of 159 in 22 overs at the Beausejour Stadium.
