Swine flu cases in Kerala rise to six
Thiruvananthapuram, July 3 : With a seven-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother testing positive for influenza A (H1N1) infection, the number of swine flu cases in Kerala has risen to six.
The two children hail from Kannur and are being treated at a hospital in Kozhikode, health officials said here Friday.
Health officials confirmed that one person in the capital and two people in Kochi are awaiting test results of their samples that were sent to New Delhi.
They also clarified that the death of a 57-year-old man near Kollam Wednesday was not due to swine flu. The man had arrived from Britain to see his ailing mother-in-law June 12 and had complained of feeling suffocated just before his death.
