Swine flu cases rise to four in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, July 1 : A 69-year-old woman tested positive for the influenza A (H1N1) Wednesday, taking the total number of swine flu affected people in Kerala to four, a health official said.
The woman, who resides in Kottayam, was admitted to a government hospital near the Kochi airport. She arrived from Canada Monday at the airport.
The health department official said the three who were tested positive Sunday are recovering.
Three other people who arrived on the same flight with the 69-year-old woman, have tested negative.
"Only one person is under observation and his report from Delhi-based National Institute of Communicable Disease laboratory is awaited," the health official said.
