RGV's Agyaat takes advantage of Salman's Wanted postponement
UTV's Agyaat was earlier scheduled to release on July 24th but now it will be releasing two weeks later on August 7th instead.
This Ram Gopal Varma directed thriller has taken up the release date which was left by Salman Khan’s Wanted Dead Or Alive. Wanted was postponed over the weekend to a September Eid release which left August 7th as an open week and now it will be Agyaat which fill that space.
Had Agyaat released on 24th July it would have clashed with Soham Shah’s biggie Luck starring Mithun Chakravorty, Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan and debutante Shruti Haasan. Agyaat which is a joint production between UTV and Ram Gopal Verma would have had to get content with a lower opening had this clash happened.
Agyaat has been shot in the jungles of Sri Lanka under difficult conditions. The only known face in the film is RGV’s old muse making a comeback with him, Nisha Kothari and Ravi Kale famous for his role as Chander in Sarkar and Sarkar Raj. Telugu star Nitin Reddy is making his Bollywood debut with this film. RGV's had earlier claimed this film as a tribute to internationally-renowned horror films like The Thing, Alien and The Blair Witch Project.
