My govt will complete its full term: Yeddyurappa

New Delhi, Nov 8 : The crisis in the Karnataka BJP was today resolved after an agonising delay, with the leadership bringing about a truce between the warring factions and making them agree to work in tandem and undertake relief programmes in the flood-affected regions.

Addressing a press conference here, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said his government would last its full term, and that his ministers and he would fully rededicate themselves to render relief to the flood-affected areas.

''Our primary responsibility is to carry out relief works," he said, adding he had already regretted for the delay due to political crisis.

''From tomorrow, I am going to tour extensively the flood-affected regions and ensure the rehabilitation work is carried on properly.

Politics should not come in the way of development and I have sought people's forgiveness and will not hesitate to repeat my words,'' the Chief Minister said.

He said he was thankful to the national leaders particularly Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, M Venkaiah Naidu and Ananth Kumar for resolving the crisis.

''I have accepted their decision as a disciplined soldier and we are bound by their decisions,'' he proclaimed.

Answering questions on the formula evolved for resolving the crisis, Mr Yeddyurappa said, ''Our understanding is to take everyone along.'' Promising to take everyone into confidence, he said his government would last the full term without any problem.

He also thanked the Reddy brothers and their associate Health Minister Sriramulu indicating that he would undertake an inclusive approach.

Not all in the rebel camp seem to be enthusiastic about the truce reached out and feel that it is only ''temporary'' and they had agreed not to press for a change in the leadership as the Chief Minister had agreed to change his style of functioning. They also claimed that the Chief Minister had consented to drop six ministers, sources contended.

Reports from Bangalore, meanwhikle, said the ministers targeted by the dissident leaders were in Delhi.
