Mandira Bedi to resume work soon

Mumbai, Nov 8: Popular TV personality and actress Mandira Bedi, who broke her leg on a reality show seven weeks ago, is likely to resume work soon.

She was on bed rest after fracturing her leg during "Khatron Ka Khiladi" Level-2 hosted by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

In Teacher's Achievement Awards, Mandira Bedi told IANS, "Till yesterday (Saturday) I was walking with a stick. After seven weeks of bed rest, today for the first time I stepped out of home. Now I am more or less fit to start my work."

Bedi never feared adventurous sports, but now after the accident she is a bit scared to take part in such events.

"I love adventurous sports and I was never afraid to take part in such sports. But now I am," she said.

Bedi, who surprised the TV audiences as a cricket commentator, started her career with "Shanti", a mega serial.

She also worked in a supporting role in Aditya Chopra's blockbuster "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge".

When asked about her accident, she said, "I was asked to jump from a height which I did, and fracture in my leg was the obvious result."

"Now, I will think a bit before going for any such adventurous sports," said Bedi.

Asked about her pending projects, she said, "Lots of work is pending, I will have to sort them out quickly."
