32 new swine flu cases in Jaipur;10 schools closed

Jaipur, Nov 8 : As many as 32 new cases of swine flu, including 29 school children, have been identified in the Pink City, forcing the authorities to suspend classes in 10 schools for period ranging up to a week.

A Health Department Spokesman today said all precautionary measures were being taken, medical facilities strengthened to deal with the situation and school authorities were also being taken into confidence.The cases were detected yesterday.

He said mobile teams were also being constituted to go door-to-door to take care of needy school children and other patients.

As many as 134 confirmed swine flu patients have so far been found in the state, he said, adding that as many as 16 deaths due to the pandemic had also occurred.

Four people have died with swine flu symptoms in the past 2 to 3 days, the spokesman said.
