Chhattisgarh's development a miracle : Chouhan
Raipur, Nov 8 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has termed the all round development and progress achieved by Chhattisgarh government in a span of nine years as 'miracle'.
''The pace at which Chattisgarh has progressed in just nine years of its formation is realy a miracle. The state will not only be the power hub, but also emerge as the numero uno state in the country in future,''the Chief Minister said.
Addressing a valedictory function of the week-long Chhattisgarh Rajyatsava-2009 being held at the Government Science College here last evening, Mr Cauhan said it was a moment to feel proud of the State for its fast development in all spheres, and highly praised his Chhattisgarh counterpart Raman Singh for this tremendous achievement.
Mr Chauhan also hailed the Raman government for having done a miracle by providing rice at Re 1 and Rs 2 per kg to the poorer sections of the society.
''The government has also given a major relief to the farmers by providing agricultural credit at a very nominal rate of 3 per cent which is being followed by his government in Madhya Pradesh,'' he added.
Mr Chouhan said when the national capital Delhi and other metros were reeling under power crisis, Chhattisgarh was heading to be the power hub of the nation. He hoped that Chhattisgarh would continue to supply power to Madhya Pradesh to tide over its power crisis.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister also visited Dr Singh's official residence, greeted him and the people of the state on the occasion of its 9th anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Raman Singh said that his government had taken a pledge to take the state to a new height of development with the active support and cooperation of the people.
