Torrential rains likely in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep
Pune, Nov 08 : Torrential rains may lash most places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, few places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, south Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Island and isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Vidarbha, south Chattisgarh, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, north Chattisgarh and Gujarat state.
The northeast monsoon has been vigorous in Tamil Nadu and active in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
Night temperature was below normal in some parts of Uttarakhand, appreciably to markedly above normal in Orissa, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, some parts of Madhya Maharashtra, appreciably above normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, north interior Karnataka.
It was above normal in south interior Karnataka, some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Kashmir, Jharkhand, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka.
Extremely heavy rains hit most places in Tamil Nadu, while heavy downpour occurred at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
