Mixed trend in sugar prices
Navi Mumbai, Nov 7 : A mixed trend was seen in sugar prices today, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association (BSMA) said.
Small and medium grades (per quintal) surged by Rs 50 and Rs 30 per quintal respectively on sustained demand from industrial users, traders said.
However, in ex-mill category, small and medium grade sugar declined by Rs ten and Rs 20 per quintal respectively owing to heavy selling pressure from industrial users, traders added.
Following were the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal in Rupees.
Small grade Rs 3,460/3,600, Medium grade: 3,630/3,730 Ex mill small grade: Rs 3,450/3,500 and Medium grade: Rs 3,500/3,650.
