Match between Kerala, Andhra Pradesh ends in draw

Kannur, Nov 6 : The Ranji Trophy Plate Group B match between Kerala and Andhra Pradesh ended in a draw with the visitors earning three points owing to their 106 run first innings lead on the final day today.

Resuming at the overnight score of 208 for six, hosts Kerala were bowled out after adding 128 runs. And the hostess side had to be satisfied with just one point.

Rohan Prem (91), the most successful batsman for Kerala, was heading for his three-figure mark, however, was dismissed by G V S Prasad, after adding another 37 runs to his overnight score of 54.

In its second innings, Andhra scored 46 runs without losing any wicket.

Though former Indian player and skipper Sreesanth, could not claim any wickets, he, however, blasted 22 runs off 24 balls and remained unbeaten.

G V S Prasad of Andhra was the most successful bowler, who claimed five wickets conceding 100 runs in 42.1 overs.
