Sukhbir condoles death of Prabhash Joshi

Chandigarh, Nov 6 : Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today expressed profound grief at the death of noted journalist Prabhash Joshi in New Delhi last night.

In a condolence message, he said that in the death of Prabhash Joshi, founding Editor of Hindi daily Jansatta, the country had lost a doyen in Hindi journalism who gave a new character to vernacular journalism.

Known for his typical incisive slant, Mr Joshi set apart Jansatta from other Hindi newspapers, Mr Badal said. Readers would miss this passionate cricket columnist for his lucid and analytical write ups, he Mr Joshi had a rare passion for the game of cricket and died while watching the fifth India-Australia ODI last night, he said.

Mr Badal expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. He also prayed the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
