Tamil Nadu seeks more rice for PDS from Centre
Chennai, Nov 6 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today sought additional allotment of rice from the Centre, for the state's Public Distribution System(PDS).
Mr Karunanidhi made a formal request to Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar during the inauguration of the fourth National Conference on 'Krishi Vigyan Kendras', in Coimbatore.
He requested Mr Pawar to make the additional allotment of rice from the Central pool for the PDS in the state, according to an official press release here.
