Man U keepers on the warpath over alleged lack of advice
London, Nov.6 : The first and second choice goalkeepers of Premier League leaders Manchester United-Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak are on the warpath with the latter accusing the former of freezing him out.
Kuszczak has claimed that his pleas for advice from van der Sar have been repeatedly ignored, and believes that the latter probably doesn''t like him.
"He''s got more experience and many more games under his belt. So I say, ''You have to give me something more''. I like to know what I do wrong and like to watch other people. You''ll have to ask him if he doesn''t like me," The Sun quoted Kuszczak, as saying.
"Sooner or later everyone must go and play important games. I know what I give to this club even though I do not play regularly. It''s a team sport," he added.
Van der Sar was recently hailed by boss Alex Ferguson as the best goalkeeper in the game.
Kuszczak and Ben Foster are behind him in the battle for the No 1 jersey at Old Trafford.
Poland keeper Kuszczak signed for United in August 2006 but has made only 34 starts.
But he has not given up hope on becoming the main man between the sticks for United.
Kuszczak said: "I hope the best is to come as I''ve not played too much over the last three years. The question is how long do you want to wait? I try every day, it''s a slow process, it''s not so easy.”
