Kalia for separate central blue print for each state

Jalandhar, Nov 5 : Punjab Industry Minister Manoranjan Kalia has advocated a separate blue print by the Central Government for each state for its industrial development.

Interacting with the industrial stalwarts at the meeting of the Punjab State Council of the CII here, Mr. Kalia said the Centre should consider the natural potential and resources of every state while preparing a blue print for thaty state's industrial development on which it would be given special concessions.

Elaborating that concessions should be given based on natural potential like Hydro Power for Himachal Pradesh and thermal plant projects for coal-rich Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand, so that they benefit the whole nation and not in a way that industry in other regions gets adversely affected.

He sought support of the CII for initiating a national debate on the subject. He also outlined his department's priorities and plans for the revival of industry in the state.

He told the representatives of the CII and industrial barons that the state government had taken into consideration the ground realities before formulating the new industrial policy of the state and promised that the policy document would be implemented in letter and spirit.
