Online portal for grocery shopping in Chennai
New Delhi, Nov 5: Tapping consumers' preference for online shopping, a company in Chennai has tried to thrust online trading in the country a step further by including groceries and vegetables on the items amongst other.
The 'Vegibazar', launched by Chennai based Thatwamsi Foods, will ease the lives of the busy working professionals, as the items will also be delivered at their doorstep.
Usha Sridhar, a portal user, said that the service was very convenient and useful.
"I have been the customer of the Vegibazar portal for 2 months and I will give 3C rating what I mean by this is convenience. Because any person can sit at home, workplace or anywhere, in front of a computer or telephone and order vegetables, groceries, fruits and similar commodities delivered at your doorstep," Usha Sridhar said.
The innovators maintain that the exercise would be cost effective and it will also be 20 percent cheaper.
Venketesan, founder and director of the Vegibazar, said that the purpose of his initiative was to make people live a healthy life.
"Basically what we try and do for customers we have launched our website called 'vegibazar.com' through which we sell fruits, vegetables, and groceries delivered at the doorstep, we want to make sure people eat healthy and live healthy," Venketesan said.
