Constable hit by vehicle, dies

Dehradun, Nov 5 : A Haridwar police constable was killed when he was hit by a speeding vehicle near Raiwala on Rishikesh-Haridwar road.

According to police, Ramesh Chandra (43), a constable with Haridwar Police Control Room, was going to Rishikesh from Haridwar on his motorbike yesterday morning. He was hit by a unknown vehicle near Raiwala on Haridwar-Rishikesh road.

Local people rushed Ramesh to a local hospital, where he died during the treatment.

Police has registered a case against the driver of the unkown vehicle and launched a search to nab him.
