Kristen Stewart: 'I'Ve Stopped Trying To End Pattinson Romance Reports'
TWILIGHT star KRISTEN STEWART has given up trying to play down rumours of a romance with co-star ROBERT PATTINSON - after realising there's nothing she can say to stop the gossip.
The two on-screen lovers have been romantically linked in real life ever since the first film in the vampire drama franchise was released last year (08).
The gossip has reached fever pitch as fans await the film's sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Stewart and Pattinson have spent much of 2009 dismissing reports of a romance, but the actress has started to realise all efforts to kill the story are futile.
She tells EW.com, "There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: 'OK, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.' I’m just trying to keep something.
"If people started asking me if I was dating (co-star) Taylor (Lautner), I’d be like, 'F**k off!' I would answer the exact same way."
And she has a problem with fans who insist Stewart owes them the truth about all personal matters: "I know that people are really funny about, 'Well, you chose to be an actor, why don’t you just f**king give your whole life away? Can I have your firstborn child?'"
