Some Ministers say fresh mandate better
Bangalore, Nov 4 : Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Minister H Halappa along with two other Ministers today came out openly saying they would prefer fresh elections if there was any change in the leadership in the State by the Party High Command.
Mr Halappa, in a joint press conference here, said the BJP had come to power in the State only after Mr B S Yeddyurappa was projected as the Chief Minister in the Assembly Elections.
''The people of Karnataka had given the mandate in the name of Mr Yeddyurappa and there is no question of changing him in the middle,'' he said.
He advised those demanding change of leadership to go before the people and ask if it was justified.
Karnataka Labour Minister B N Bachchegowda and Horticulture Minister Umesh Katti were present.
