Eight students drowned in Malappuram
Malappuram, Nov 04 : Eight students, including a girl, drowned in Chaliyar river at Moorkanad in this district of North Kerala when their country-boat capsized this evening.
Police said the victims who belonged to a local higher secondary school, were returning home after the classes when the mishap occurred.
Search operations were going on in full-swing as it was suspected that there were about 30 students in the country boat.
