Boyz Ii Men Star Struck Down With Swine Flu
BOYZ II MEN star SHAWN STOCKMAN has been forced to pull out of the band's planned promotional activities after he was diagnosed with swine flu.
The singer was due to accompany his bandmates to Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday (03Nov09) for a performance at the 2009 Soul Train Awards.
But Stockman has been advised to rest after medics discovered he has contracted the deadly H1N1 virus.
His bandmate Nathan Morris tells CNN.com, "We tour eight months out of the year, and we are always travelling around. It's hectic for us always being in airplanes and airports. He got sick, and it hit him pretty hard.
"We go all over the world really, so I am surprised it hasn't happened earlier, to be honest. I talked to (Stockman) today, and he is doing much better."
Other stars to have fallen victim to swine flu include Backstreet Boys singer Brian Littrell and Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.
