Gold soars to Rupees 16,560
Mumbai, Nov 4 : Gold zoomed to all time high of Rupees 16,560 per ten gm, surging by Rupees 320, for the third straight day today in the opening session on speculative demand from industrial users along with encouraging global advices, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Gold had ended at Rs 16,240 yesterday.
Similarly, silver also jumped up by Rs 800 per kg to Rs 27,490.
The same picture was seen in global markets including London and Asian, where gold was quoted up at 1,062.00/1,062.05 per troy ounce and silver at 17.22/17.24 per troy ounce from their previous levels, traders added.
Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 grade : Rs 27,490 Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity Standard mint : Rs 16,560 Gold 99.9 purity Pure gold : Rs 16,640.
